The parent company of Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia is adding five parks to its U.S. portfolio.

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced its purchase agreement with affiliates of Premier Parks, LLC, on Tuesday, a deal that will include the lease rights to operate five parks owned by EPR Properties.

The five parks are located across four states — including Wet ‘n Wild Phoenix, the largest waterpark in Arizona, and Wet ‘n Wild Splashtown, the largest waterpark in Houston, the country’s fourth-largest city. Six Flags will also add Frontier City and White Water Bay in Oklahoma City and Darien Lake near Buffalo, N.Y.

In all, Six Flags’ portfolio will grow to 25 parks.

“Today’s announcement represents another milestone in our strategic North American growth initiative to seek out park acquisitions that expand our addressable market,” Six Flags Chairman, CEO and President Jim Reid-Anderson said in a news release. “These are all fantastic properties that complement our existing portfolio and provide tremendous added value and cross-visitation opportunities for our extensive membership and season pass base.”

Already largest regional theme park operator in the world, Six Flags will become the largest waterpark operator in North America upon the scheduled closing of this acquisition in June.
